Get Connected…with Entrepreneurs Who Care and Share.
It’s no secret that being an entrepreneur can be a lonely road, especially for those who work from home. But, it doesn’t have to be that way.
The Comox Valley Small Business Association (SBA) is an organization of energetic, dedicated, and serious business owners who value the opportunity to network, share, and learn with other like-minded business people.
If you want to start a business or take a current enterprise to the next level, visit the SBA as our guest. You will experience the enthusiasm, camaraderie, and varied experiences of business owners who truly embrace the entrepreneurial spirit … and welcome you to share it, too.
All small businesses – not just those that are home-based– are welcome to join!
So much more than networking!
Starting in 2014, the SBA started hosting two meetings per month, instead of one, but dues stayed the same. That’s twice a much opportunity to facilitate relationship building among members and to learn from guest speakers and group activities, such as the Mastermind sessions.
There are also social events hosted by the group to raise funds for area charities. And, the group organizes or participates in various events through the year to showcase small businesses. From a “round-up” trade-show at Comox Mall to a shared booth at the July 1 festivities, these low-cost, optional activities are great bonuses to being a member of the SBA.
Meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of each month (September-June) at the Florence Filberg Centre, 411 Anderton Avenue, Courtenay (Evergreen Room). Networking at 5:30, meeting starts at 6:00 pm.
